King/Queen Scout Roll of Honour

at 2nd Waterlooville Scout Group

The King’s Scout Award is the top achievement for Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members and comprises of a variety of activities to complete. To gain this award you must complete all of the following requirements before your 25th birthday.

Those who you achieve the award need to commit to developing and challenging themselves in many new ways. They will have spent time in new places, met new people and developed their communication, organisational and teamwork skills.

Gaining this prestigious award is an achievement that they will remember for the rest of their lives and is also recognised by many educational establishments and potential employers.

Around 500 young people in the UK achieve their King’s Scout Award every year. These award holders are invited to ‘a day of celebration and achievement’ at Windsor Castle to mark their achievements. The date of the parade is always close to that of St George’s Day. Full details can be found at scouts.org.uk/windsor.

Those who hold the King’s Scout Award are eligible to join the King’s Scout Working Party (KSWP), which is a National Scout Active Support Unit. The KSWP supports major national Scout Association events and national celebrations, provides mentors for the Scouts of the World Award and promotes the Top Awards. You can become a member of the KSWP until you are 30. If you would like to know more please visit kswp.org.uk

Here we celebrate our ‘top’ Scouts who have achieved this prestigious Award.
