Hello all
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement at the weekend, the Government have confirmed there will be some changes to the way we can deliver Scouting activities within England only

Taking effect today, 2 December 2021, the youth sector moves to the Yellow readiness level

What does this mean to your child’s scouting experience?

This means all activities for members who live in England. and Residential activities may take place..
We as a group will continue to apply all the Covid safety measures and apply the Scout Association directives on staying safe remain in place such as –

  • Regular hand washing for at least 20 seconds in hot water
  • The use of alcohol gel hand sanitisers
  • The regular Cleaning of surfaces and touch points with a appropriate cleaning solution
  • There is no requirement to check temperatures on arrival at Section meetings/activities – However there is a clear expectation for all leaders, parents and young people , that they are NOT to attend if they have any symptoms.
  • There is also a plan in place in case anyone presents symptoms during any section meetings/activities.

There is a requirement that face coverings MUST be worn by all ADULTS and those aged 11+ unless exempt when indoors.

I am happy to answer any questions about our continued face to face scouting for all of our Sections
Kind regards
David Hayward – Group Scout Leader
